In conjunction with the heroic uprising of the Palestinian people, the Global Campaign to Return to Palestine held “The Third International Forum in Solidarity with Palestine” with the slogan “With the Intifada of Al-Quds”, with the participation of 300 figures from 50 countries.
The participants in the forum that was held in the Lebanese capital Beirut on 8-9-10 December, 2015 were either representatives of civil society organizations, activists, or legal figures that support the Palestinian cause, in addition to more than 60 participants from the Palestinian interior. These were activists, media people, and NGO representatives.
The Conference program had two main topics:
- Discussion of various forms of support to Al-Quds Intifada.
- To examine the practical mechanisms of intensifying the global efforts to support the Palestinian cause.
– In conjunction with the Forum a «youth meeting» was also held. It focused on the same goals and was dedicated to the active youth from inside and outside Palestine. The meeting included interactive dialogue sessions in which young people’s proposals, ideas, activity obstacles and suggested solutions were discussed.
The third day of the conference was concluded with a visit to the Mlita Museum and the Beaufort Castle which are regarded as two of the most prominent landmarks of resisting and defeating the Zionist occupation of southern Lebanon.
