The Second Global Convention of Solidarity with Palestine

In light of the events that passed rapidly in the Palestinian arena after the Israeli aggression on Gaza in 2014, the «Global Campaign to Return to Palestine» held its second international forum for solidarity with the Palestinian people over three continuous days in the presence of more than 100 representatives of civil society organizations who came from 29 countries around the world.

It was interesting to see influential figures in the Palestinian arena present in the closing session of the conference, including former Palestinian Prime Minister Sheikh Ismail Haniyeh (participated via satellite due to the siege imposed on Gaza), Deputy Secretary General of Hezbollah Sheikh Naim Qassem, member of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Jihad in Palestine Muhammad al-Hindi, and Deputy Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Abu Ahmed Fouad and others.

The concluding statement of the conference focused on the necessity of initiating practical projects through which the Campaign sought to ease the effects of the siege on our people in Gaza besides developing a joint plan to boost the popular movement condemning the crimes of the Israeli occupation according to which activities would be organized throughout the year 2015 all over the world.
